In a caption that she later deleted, the Mean Girls actress wrote: “@dinalohan … Sometimes it sucks when your mom isn’t there for you.”
The post on Thursday showed a graphic drawing of a woman dropping a cell phone with the words “we’re done,” written across it.
Both Lindsay and her mother have been known to have a fiery relationship in the past, but have always remained close. In 2012, police were called to Lindsay’s childhood home in Mineola, N.Y. after the actress was involved in an altercation with Dina.
The pair were quickly seen patching things up after the incident, and more recently the Freaky Friday star has been working on staying out of trouble with the law.
Last year, Lindsay told PEOPLE about making progress after completing her mandatory community service hours stemming from a 2012 reckless driving case.
“I am very grateful to those at Brooklyn Community Services, Duffield and The Ali Forney Center for welcoming me into their services and allowing me to finish my court ordered Community Service hours,” she told PEOPLE in a statement.
