Lance Bass is quite sure that he’s finally found The One.
“I’ve gone through some bombs for sure, but I know this is the one,” Bass told PEOPLE of fiancé Michael Turchin at Wednesday night’s Barefoot Wine Pride Kick Off Celebration in New York City. “I could not be happier.”
Bass, 35, proposed to Turchin last summer, but the two aren’t rushing their wedding planning.
“I literally called Michael last night and said, ‘Babe, we have to plan something. I’m tired of telling everyone we haven’t done anything yet!’ ” he said. “We know the flowers we like. We have the colors. We like royal colors, so we know it’s going to have that kind of look. I always thought I was royalty in a past life, so I want to feel like a king for one night.”
Another thing they know for sure? ‘NSYNC will be in attendance. “Yes, there will be a reunion,” Bass said. “But I doubt we’ll be performing ‘Bye Bye Bye.’ I think it’s a little cheesy if I sing at all at my wedding.”
So what part of married life is the singer most looking forward to? “We’ve always dreamt about having kids,” Bass said. “That’s one reason I fell in love with Michael. One of the first conversations we had after we were together for a bit was the ‘family conversation,’ and we were so – I hate to use this word – in sync with each other. We do want to enjoy our first couple years of marriage first, but I definitely want kids before I’m 40.”
In the meantime, Bass is keeping very busy. He’s developed a new dating app, Sparxx, for the LGBT community, which is set to launch in early July.
“Our community is very stereotyped, and there’s a lot of apps out there for the gay community that just feed right into that,” he said. “People really want to find love. I can’t wait for the first person to come up to me and they’re like, ‘I met my boyfriend because of you’ or ‘I got married because of your app.’ That is going to make me feel real good.”
