Even as she continued to negotiate her divorce from Kris Humphries, Kim Kardashian announced that she and boyfriend Kanye West are expecting a baby together. The surprise pregnancy, while touted with glee on Twitter by the Kardashian family members, angered many readers.

Julianne Hough’s startling confession that she was abused as a child while studying dance abroad brought sadness to many readers. She told Cosmopolitan the abuse started around age 10 and got worse as she hit puberty, but she refused to name her abuser or provide details, saying she is a “very forgiving person.”

Jessica Simpson is reveling in her new pregnancy, so much so that she posted a Twitpic of her bare baby belly with the caption: “Bumpin’ and Proud!” Her joy and candor in exposing her growing tummy prompted a “wow” reaction from readers.

Will the third time be the charm for Playboy founder Hugh Hefner? Readers seemed skeptical about his marriage to former Playmate Crystal Harris on New Year’s Eve: News of the nuptials made them laugh out loud. Hefner is 86 and Harris is 26, marking a 60-year age difference for the couple, whose relationship drama includes the time when Harris got cold feet just days before their originally planned wedding in 2011.

Our readers always show big love for animal stories. This week, the sweet saga of a stray tomcat in Wales who showed up on the doorstep of a family with a blind dog and helped guide it had readers smiling. The sensitive feline, named Pwditat, helped 8-year-old pooch Terfel by using her paws to guide him on walks.
