Kevin Federline is a big spender – and generous tipper! – according to court documents released on Thursday.
Federline spent more than $43,000 on dining, shopping and Las Vegas hotels between May 2007 and January 2008, according to the papers, which were filed in January and released Thursday in connection to the custody fight between Federline and Britney Spears.
In addition to dropping thousands of dollars at high-end restaurants, Federline tips very well. He dropped a $1,100 tip on a $2,782 bill at a Los Angeles restaurant last year. And during a visit to Scores strip club he left a $2,000 tip on a $365 bill.
Expenditures in Vegas included $1,445 in Versace clothing, $3,863 at TAO nightclub, and $3,008 at the Hard Rock Beach Club.
The documents also give insight into Federline’s career. In 2007, he paid $74,102 in music production expenses, but his music income was just $9,849. The bulk of his income came from a 2007 commercial for Nationwide insurance, which paid $377,000. He also earned $50,000 for a series of appearances at Las Vegas nightclubs.
The documents were part of a case in which Spears’s lawyer, Stacy Phillips, requested that the court require Federline to cover his legal expenses in the couple’s custody battle. However, a judge ruled that because Spears was responsible for most of the litigation, she should also cover the cost of it.
Spears pays $15,000 per month in child support payments to Federline, who has physical custody of the couple’s two sons Preston, and Jayden. And the child support goes both ways: He pays $18,228 in monthly child support, rent and private school tuition for his two children with actress Shar Jackson.
