After completing a two-month stint in rehab for eating disorders, Kesha has made the move to Los Angeles and is embracing a fresh start.
“She’s doing great. She looks and feels fantastic,” a pal tells PEOPLE of the pop star formerly known as Ke$ha.
In addition to changing her name, hair color and Twitter handle, a new beginning for the Nashville native also means a new home in the Los Angeles area, where the pal says she has a “great support system” to whom she “can talk about anything.”
“I think she got what she went [to rehab] for. She’s remembered how to love herself,” the pal adds. “That s what she got in touch with while she was away.”
In February, Kesha announced she was delaying her tour while she continued treatment at a Chicago-based facility, but last week the “Timber” singer Tweeted she felt "blessed" and had been working on new music.
“She’s in a great place mentally and physically and is feeling really good about herself,” says the pal. “She is excited for the next phase of her life and career.”
