Katy Perry‘s birthday was the sock hop of the century.
The star celebrated her 32nd birthday with an epic 1950s-inspired night on Saturday, complete with a giant game of Twister, Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe lookalikes and, of course, her beau Orlando Bloom and close pal Kate Hudson.
Giving an ode to her birth name, Katheryn Hudson, Perry named her venue “Hudson High” and dressed in a yellow pussy bow top and sported a big blonde updo for the gathering.
In an Instagram post, the CoverGirl thanked her sponsor for helping her make the event happen.
“Thanks @COVERGIRL for keeping everyone clean-cut and QT at Hudson High, Home of the Poodles. … Principal Hudson. #KatyxCOVERGIRL,” she wrote.
Throughout the evening, Perry shared her sock hop fun on Instagram, showing all of the activities and outrageous costumes.
Kate Hudson, who hosted her own Halloween party just one night before, took to Instagram several times to share her best photos from the night. The actress, 37, wore a Marc Jacobs leather jacket, graphic floor-length skirt and a headband for her throwback look.
In one post, she wrote, “Happy birthday Hudson! #SockHop,” as a caption for a photo of Hudson, Perry and some pals in the “Detention” photo booth.
Another star who got dolled up for Perry’s big day? Bloom. The actor, who donned an epic D0nald Trump costume to go with Perry’s Hillary Clinton get-up on Friday, wore bright red short shorts and a matching sweatshirt for his girlfriend’s bash. Perry shared one video of Bloom, 39, shooting some hoops at Hudson High.
