Prince George shows off his wild side too on Sunday as he meets his match: George the Bilby, named to celebrate the royal's birth last year. George, who will be 9 months old on Tuesday, and his parents officially opened the Prince George Bilby Exhibit at the Sydney landmark during their visit.

A HOLD ON YOU
Prince William keeps a firm grip on the little royal during their bilby encounter – which is good news for the ratlike marsupial (which is also Australia's version of the Easter bunny). "If he gets it, he'll never let go," said William as he kissed his son's head.

The Duchess echoes her husband's sentiment as their bilby meet-and-greet continues. "He's got quite a strong grab, actually," she said to the zookeeper. After touring the enclosure, the couple unveiled a plaque that read: "A national gift from the Commonwealth Government to commemorate the birth of His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge."

JUST FUR YOU
George earns some more furry admirers inside the nightlife exhibit as he enjoys the view of the other nocturnal animals – including a bandicoot – from his mother's arms.

So what's on the menu for the royal couple? Carrots! Prince William and Kate play zookeeper with a pair of hungry giraffes.

Furry friends aside, the royals also get up close and personal with some spiny echidnas. In addition to their nonhuman revelers, the couple were greeted by more than 3,000 people on the route during their zoo tour.

CHEW ON THIS!
After receiving a stuffed toy bilby and a yellow car sticker (reading "wild child on board") from the zoo, Prince George enjoys one of his gifts just a bit more than the other. "Munch, munch, munch," said William as his son tried to chew on the sticker.

KING OF CUTE
The zoo animals just can't compete with George's cuteness! As for the prince's other gift, the toy bilby: He threw it on the floor, much to the laughter of those watching. "He does love it, honestly," William said.
