Actions speak louder than words for Juan Pablo Galavis.

The Bachelor star and his non-fiancée, Nikki Ferrell, were very cozy at Hebru Brantley’s art exhibition at Toys for Boys in Miami on Tuesday.

“They were very affectionate, putting their arms around each other and even kissing in public,” an eyewitness at the Dom Perignon-sponsored event tells PEOPLE.

The pair stayed for about an hour and were overheard chatting with friends about how they are so happy together now that they can spend more time together without cameras around. They also talked about planning a vacation together very soon.

The former soccer player was criticized for refusing to say that he loved Ferrell when quizzed by Bachelor host Chris Harrison on Monday, but the 32-year-old later expressed his feelings for the pediatric nurse in a video he posted on YouTube. “Te adoro,” he admitted.
