It only took 29 years for Joy Behar and longtime beau Steve Janowitz to tie the knot.

After a broken engagement in 2009, the couple finally wed in New York City in August – so what prompted The View co-host to make it official?

“I only married Steve because I got tired of waiting for Wolf Blitzer to ask me,” Behar joked in a comedic list called “10 Things You Don’t Know About My Marriage” which she wrote for The Huffington Post.

Behar did get serious about her nuptials on The View, saying that the recent passage of gay marriage legislation in New York and the rights married couples enjoy informed her decision.

As to how the newlyweds keep the spark in their relationship, Behar wrote in her column: “We’re really romantic; we like to sit on the floor naked, eating cannoli, and watching Hoarders.

What’s her secret to making their relationship work?

“We’ve discovered the key to a happy marriage,” Behar wrote. “I’m out of the house 14 hours a day.”
