Grab your muffin tops, Seinfeld fans, because Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David are working on a new mystery project.

Seinfeld took part in a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” Q&A on Monday to promote the third season of his Web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” Though Seinfeld claimed that David is actually not as nice as the character we cringe along with on Curb Your Enthusiasm, the duo who brought Seinfeld to the world is teaming up again.

Seinfeld mentioned the project in response to a question about the most mundane thing the two comedians ever obsessed over, writing, “We never obsess over anything that isn’t mundane. Most recent was intentional mumbling. We wrote this script for this thing that you will eventually see but I can’t reveal what it is at this time. All I can do is tell you is that it’s big, huge, gigantic.” While “intentional mumbling” isn’t much to go on, don’t forget that their team made “nothing” into one of the top-rated television shows of all time.

For fans of Seinfeld, the entire AMA is worth reading. In the 100 questions that he answered, Seinfeld was charmingly thorough in his responses to fans, coming across as casually engaging, willing to hand out compliments and most of all hilarious.

The AMA also provided answers to a few things that devoted fans have always wanted to know, such as which episode is his favorite (“The Rye“), his favorite Seinfeld supporting character (Newman, of course) and what he thinks of all those Twitter parodies. While Seinfeld didn t quite come out and say that he hates the Modern Seinfeld and Seinfeld Current Day accounts, he is definitely not a fan of the genre.

Here’s his full response: “Oh this is a very painful subject. As you can probably imagine, over the 9 years of doing the show, Larry David and I sat through hundreds of ideas that people wanted to do on the show. And most of the ideas are not good. Which I saw Larry say the other day on some show, somebody asked him the same question and he said I know you think it s funny, but it s really hard. The ideas that Larry and I would respond to, I don t even know, they just need to be very unique. It s just a lot harder than it seems to come up with. And particularly for that show, where we tried to do things that were unusual, and you had to go through a lot of ideas to find the ones you like.”

While there’s no word on when the new David-Seinfeld project will be unveiled, it’s good to know that Seinfeld is keeping himself busy. Particularly because in the AMA, when asked what he would do besides comedy, Seinfeld bluntly said, Die.”
