Jennifer Esposito is getting married to her boyfriend and business partner, Louis Dowler.
The Blue Bloods actress, who appeared on Katie Couric’s show this week to discuss her struggle with celiac disease, revealed that she is set to wed Dowler, 38, who previously dated Kate Winslet. “He’s lovely,” she admitted with a smile.
After being diagnosed with the autoimmune disease, which is exacerbated by eating gluten, Esposito, 42, came up with the idea to open a gluten-free bakery, called Jennifer’s Way in New York City, and asked the British model to partner with her.
“He wanted no part of it in the beginning,” she told Couric. “He said, ‘I don’t know anything about a bakery.’ And I said, ‘I don’t either! But we’re gonna do this. I’m gonna do this. And if you want to see me, that’s where I’m gonna be, on 10th Street.’ ”
Esposito, who was previously married to Bradley Cooper and engaged to Australian tennis player Mark Philippoussis, revealed that Dowler lent her money to open the bakery. “Otherwise it wouldn’t be there,” she said. “So I’m very grateful.”
