Jennifer Lopez doesn’t just have Ben Affleck, but also another, legendary movie hunk: Robert Redford.
Variety reports that the original Sundance Kid, now 65, will costar with J.Lo, 32, in “An Unfinished Life,” a drama to be directed by “Cider House Rules” filmmaker Lasse Hallstrom.
Production is scheduled to begin in April in Vancouver, and the film marks Redford’s first film in two years, since he costarred — to mixed results critically and commercially — with Brad Pitt in the thriller “Spy Game.”
In the new film (which is said to be modestly budgeted), Lopez will play a financially pinched single mother forced to move in with her estranged father-in-law (Redford). Over time, the two come to grips with some past issues between them, according to the trade paper.
Here’s hoping the film fares a little better with critics than Lopez’s last two. Earlier this week, she was nominated for a Razzie Award for “Enough” and “Maid in Manhattan,” which were considered by the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation to be among the worst performances of 2002.
