Though many costarring couples canoodle at the premieres of their movies, the British press are having a field day over Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock now that they showed up together at Thursday’s London premiere of their romantic comedy, “Two Weeks Notice.”
The BBC reports that about 2,000 fans withstood freezing weather to catch a glimpse of the well-scrubbed pair, with Grant, 42, hugging Bullock, 38, and the actress even pinching her costar’s behind on the red carpet. The two made a point of publicly flirting and playing up all the speculation over the nature of their relationship.
When photographers asked Grant to kiss Bullock, she made a face before reluctantly offering her cheek.
He said, in his signature, mildly sarcastic self-deprecating manner, that he would love to work with her again, “but, alas, I don’t think she feels the same.”
He then uttered the requisite line heard at every movie premiere: “I have never had so much fun making a film before.”
During production of the movie, reps for both Grant and Bullock denied that there was an off-screen romance between the costars.
