George Harrison was released from the hospital on Saturday evening and sent home to recover from a knife wound to his chest, reports Reuters. “He is expected to make a full recovery,” a hospital spokesman was quoted as saying. The 56-year-old former Beatle was attacked in his 120-room mansion outside of London last Thursday, when an intruder stabbed him with a 7-inch knife, just one inch from his heart. Harrison’s wife, Olivia, who received minor injuries, intervened by using a lamp to hit the attacker on the head. Michael Abram, 33, from the Beatles’ home city of Liverpool, has been charged with attempted murder in the attack and is said to be undergoing psychiatric treatment.
