Later today, President-elect George W. Bush, 54, is due to officially resign as Governor of Texas after serving six years in Austin. Republican Lt. Gov. Rick Perry is expected to be sworn in shortly after Bush exits the position. Bush, who is currently caught up in trying to fill positions in his presidential Cabinet, will remain in the Texas Governor’s Mansion until he takes up residence to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington D.C. on Jan. 20.
