Keiko the killer whale, star of the film “Free Willy,” might go free. Because of construction to the pier near the home of the killer whale — a screened-off section in the bay off the coast of Iceland — officials plan to release him to the surrounding bay, reports the Associated Press. This means Keiko could conceivably swim away into the ocean. He could also socialize with other whales that inhabit the area of the bay. “Spring is in the air,” said his trainer, Jeff Foster, “and he’s been pretty frisky.”
