The Bushes are back and so, declares a New York fashionista, are Reagan-era looks and colors. “Sandra Bullock is the new Geena Davis,” image consultant David Kibbe has told New York Observer columnist Simon Doonan. “Pop stars are blond and all look the same — Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera — so Elizabeth Taylor is still a potent icon.” Doonan suggests that everyone re-read the ’80s self-help bestseller “Color Me Beautiful” by Carole Jackson, who explained that people need to dress according to what season they are. Toni Tennille was an autumn. Today, Penélope Cruz is. (They tend to have dark hair and dark eyes.) Queen Elizabeth and Charlize Theron, it so happens, are summers. (They can be green — or brown-eyed.) Other examples: Nicole Kidman, Faith Hill, Matt Damon and Jude Law are springs; Elizabeth Hurley, Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake and Steven Spielberg are summers; Ben Affleck, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Dylan McDermott are winters; and Julia Roberts, Russell Crowe, Hilary Swank and Brad Pitt are all autumns. Who knew?
