Faith Hill will unveil the music video for "American Heart" – her first official music video in almost five years – on her website, FaithHill.com, this Thursday (9 p.m. ET) – but you can get a sneak peek now!
“When I first heard this song I was brought to hears,” Hill says in a statement.
“I not only knew I had to record it, but I almost immediately saw it visually. It’s so awesome and so appropriate to be albeit to share it with my fans first, because they’ve been so supportive of me throughout the years.”
When the song was first released in September, Hill told PEOPLE how the tune is truly an American anthem.
“People are suffering, trying to make ends meet, and times are especially tough right now. The sentiment captures everything I think we all feel when we think about the American spirit,” she said at the time.
Filmed in Nashville last month, the video was directed by Trey Fanjoy and features 10-year-old T.J. Jones as Hill’s sidekick.
“For the choreography, we wanted to keep it very classic, almost an ode to you know the Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Cyd Charisse era, but keep it like new and fresh,” says choreographer Aakomon Jones.
He adds he was “pretty impressed with Faith and how she came in and learned the choreography. She learned it, she studied, she did her homework and she showed up. So I think you guys will be very pleased with what you see.”
