Eva Longoria isn’t rushing to become a mom.

Reports that the actress is planning to adopt a child from Haiti are “not true,” a source close to the star tells PEOPLE.

Rumors surfaced in the British press over the weekend that Longoria, 35, wanted to adopt a baby. But the star, who is in the process of divorcing her husband Tony Parker, 28, won’t be expanding her family anytime soon, says the source.

Longoria, who a friend describes as “devastated” by the split, has been leaning on her Desperate Housewives cast mates to help her get through it.

“She is simply heartbroken,” a friend told PEOPLE recently. “She really wishes Tony the best. She just wants this whole situation to be as peaceful as it can be under the circumstances. He’s a good person at heart, and she wants the best for him.”
