Emmylou Harris, Tom T. Hall, the Statler Brothers and the late Ernest “Pop” Stoneman are the latest additions to the Country Hall of Fame, the Nashville-based Country Music Association announced Tuesday.
Harris is being recognized as a revered song interpreter, CMA rep Tammy Genovese tells the Associated Press. Hall is a renowned storyteller; the Statler Brothers, America’s poets; and Stoneman, a patriarch of the genre, she said.
A formal ceremony will take place later this year.
