Filmmaker Matthew Vaughn unveiled his two proud productions in London Thursday night: his completed gangster film Layer Cake and his pregnant wife Claudia Schiffer. The Vaughns’ second child is due later this year.
At the movie premiere, Schiffer delivered some unorthodox advice to other pregnant women, saying with a giggle: “Eat whatever you want to eat.” In fact, even supermodels have cravings, she admitted. In her case, they are “doughnuts and non-alcoholic beer.”
As for her fitness regime, Schiffer revealed there’s no yoga or exercise program. “I’m afraid not. I’m just enjoying myself.”
When asked if a baby name had yet been picked, Vaughn replied: “We don’t even know the sex, how could we have a name?”
Schiffer, 34, and Vaughn, 33, were married May 25, 2002, and have a 17-month-old son, Caspar. Her second pregnancy was announced in June.
Schiffer, who’s been named one of PEOPLE’s 50 Most Beautiful People, was previously engaged to magician David Copperfield, though they never married. She also was engaged to (and, again, never sealed the deal with) British playboy Tim Jeffries.
Layer Cake marks Vaughn’s directorial debut. His producing credits include such movies by director Guy Ritchie as 1998’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and the ill-fated 2002 Swept Away, starring Ritchie’s wife, Madonna.
Vaughn was the best man at that couple’s wedding.
