GILES PELLERIN, 91, the man known as U.S.C.’s Super Fan, whose remarkable streak of attending 797 consecutive University of Southern California football games ended Saturday afternoon. A 1929 graduate of U.S.C. and a retired telephone executive, Pellerin traveled more than 650,000 miles, visited more than 50 cities (including Tokyo), and spent more than $85,000 following the team he called his “family.” He died in Los Angeles, at the Rose Bowl, during the second half of the U.S.C.-U.C.L.A. football game … JOHN C. GRIMEK, 88, the only man to win the Mr. America bodybuilding competition twice, Friday, in York PA. Grimek, who competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympics as a weightlifter, won the Amateur Athletic Union’s first Mr. America championship in 1940, then won again in 1941. The organization then changed its rules to prevent repeat winners.
