They only get better with age.

Denzel Washington and Judi Dench have been honored with the top acting prizes by this year’s Movies for Grownups Awards, presented by AARP, celebrating actors over 50 and films made for older audiences.

Dench, 78, was celebrated for her work on The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, also starring Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith and Tom Wilkinson, which was also named best picture.

Washington, 58, won for his performance as alcoholic airline pilot Whip Whitaker in Flight.

Among the other honorees this year are Jacki Weaver for her turn in Silver Linings Playbook, John Goodman for his supporting role in Flight, and director Steven Spielberg for Lincoln.
