The Charlie’s Angels star directed her daughter (by former husband Bruce Willis), Rumer Willis, in one of a series of films written and directed by women for Glamour Reel Moments presented by Suave Premieres, which debuted Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
“I felt like it was a gift to be able to be given this opportunity, where people trusted me not knowing whether or not I could do it,” Moore, 45, told PEOPLE at the event. “And then to have my daughter in it just gave it something that made it even more personal. It also expanded our own relationship, to have a totally different dynamic as professionals.”
The film series, which also includes films directed by Courteney Cox Arquette and Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith, brought out an all-star audience, including Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, David Arquette, Ashton Kutcher, Sacha Baron Cohen, Isla Fisher, David Spade, Lucy Liu, Sheryl Crow, Laura Dern and Kirsten Dunst.
Any professional recommendation Moore is passing on to her 20-year-old daughter? Says the star, “I think it’s ongoing motherly advice.”
