Courtney Love, due in court Friday for a drug-rehab progress report, was taken by ambulance to a Los Angeles hospital late Wednesday “and released immediately,” her publicist says.
Love was hospitalized after she was at an entertainment-industry party for a jeans brand at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Not feeling well and nearly fainting, the singer went outside for air, her rep, Jill Fritzo, said in a statement, adding: “A friend called an ambulance for precaution.”
Los Angeles police Officer Kristi Sandoval tells the Los Angeles Times that officers filed a report involving a “Courtney L.” in the Hollywood area about 10 minutes after midnight Wednesday. Sandoval called the report confidential and would not discuss it.
Love’s attorney, Michael Rosenstein, is quoted in the New York Post as saying his client is doing “fine. She’s living a drug-free life. She had a negative test last week.”
In February, Love, 41, was sentenced to three years’ probation and anger management counseling after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor assault on a woman at the home of her former boyfriend.
