Complete with a saltwater swimming pool, a tennis court and a screening room, the actress says her house is modeled after a “modern barn” with views of the ocean throughout.
“This is exactly how I want to live,” Cox, 46, tells Elle Decor in its July/August issue.
Cox, who considered a career in architecture before she made it in Hollywood, teamed up with interior designer Trip Haenisch and architect Michael Kovac for the renovations. The result: a two-acre, beach-inspired abode that’s “very simple, with bronzed-steel trim, white walls and wood floors. Nothing too cluttered and not a lot of fancy details.”
“I’ve been overseeing renovations of my homes for a long times,” she continues, “and I have strong opinions about what I want and why.”
