One wee-hours TV personality won’t be spending those midnight hours alone anymore. NBC’s “Late Night” emcee Conan O’Brien, 38, tied the knot on Saturday with Seattle ad executive Liza Powell, age unreported, whom he had met when about two years ago she made an appearance on his show in a skit about advertising. They became engaged last July, and the afternoon ceremony took place in her Seattle hometown, reports the Associated Press. (O’Brien, who’s been hosting his show for the past nine years, is a native of Brookline, Mass., and is a New York resident.) “Sorry about the rain,” O’Brien quipped as he and his new bride emerged from the St. James Cathedral under an umbrella, he said, according to the AP. The ceremony was officiated by O’Brien’s longtime friend and Harvard roommate, the Rev. Paul O’Brien – who is no relation. The service, which was closed to all but invited guests, was attended by “Friends” actress Lisa Kudrow and several on-air staffers from O’Brien’s show. Now, if only David Letterman would waltz down the aisle.
