The stars of Captain America: Civil War don’t mess around.
Well, they do joke around, but when it comes to touting the newest installment in the Captain America franchise, Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie will go to the ends of the earth to promote it.
Before jumping on a plane to Germany to finish shooting scenes for the franchise’s third film, Mackie (who plays The Falcon) and Evans (who plays Captain America) surprised fans at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, on Saturday.
“I’m so happy to be here,” Evans said after being introduced on stage by costar Mackie. “I’m a big, big, big Disney fan.”
Before Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige showed a new clip from the film (which Evans called “so good!”), the duo joked about their devotion to all things Disneyland.
In fact, Evans hilariously revealed that when he’s not saving the world on the big screen, his spare time is occupied “on YouTube watching other people’s experiences in Disneyland.”
“Then we go back in our trailer and sing the theme song for Frozen,” Mackie adds.
(We can only hope that last bit is true.)
Captain America: Civil War, which boasts a high-profile ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd and Elizabeth Olsen, is slated to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
