Contrary to reports, Celine Dion has not scheduled a C-section to deliver her twin boys on Oct. 22 – and has not made outrageous demands of a Florida hospital, the entertainer’s husband and her rep tell PEOPLE.
“There is nothing scheduled. We do not have a date,” Dion’s husband and manager, René Angélil, 68, tells PEOPLE.
“They want Celine’s pregnancy to go as long as possible, at least until the first week of November,” adds Dion’s rep, referring to the singer’s doctors. “She would never intentionally endanger her unborn children by scheduling a birth early like this.”
Angélil and the rep also refute a report that Dion, 42, has made diva demands, such as handpicking her nursing staff and reserving a room for a security team.
“It’s all false,” says the rep. “Celine and her doctors are hopeful that she can continue her pregnancy as long as possible, and hope to get her to at least 37 weeks gestation to ensure the healthiest outcome for her children.”
