Singer Carnie Wilson and her husband, musician Rob Bonfiglio, welcomed their first child, a baby girl, born Friday in Los Angeles.
The arrival, weighing 7 lbs. 2 oz., has been named Lola Sophia and has brown hair and blue eyes, Entertainment Tonight reports.
When the couple announced their pending parenthood last September, Bonfiglio said he expected a girl and was considering the name Lola Brianna.
Lola Sophia was born in the company of Wilson’s father, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, while the band’s Pet Sounds played in background.
Carnie Wilson, who turns 37 on Friday, is a former member of the Wilson Phillips female trio, and Bonfiglio, also 37, is a former guitarist for Blush. The two met while on tour and married in June 2000.
At the time of their wedding – which came 10 months after Wilson underwent gastric-bypass surgery and dropped 150 lbs. (from nearly 300) and almost 20 dress sizes from her 5’3″ frame – the bride had to have her wedding dress taken in twice to accommodate her altered shape.
“She looked so beautiful,” Bonfiglio told PEOPLE about his bride, “it was overwhelming.”
