New York publishers believe Paul Burrell, the butler for the late Princess Diana, may have kept a detailed diary of his years with the world’s best-known woman. One publisher has recently gone so far as to send Burrell an unsolicited bid of $1 million for the butler’s diaries, sight unseen, claims the New York Post. Although Burrell has said he would never do anything to betray Di’s memory, since he’s been kicked out of the royal household and removed from the trust set up in her memory, he may be experiencing a change of heart. He’s also reportedly upset that, 18 months after the tragedy in Paris, there’s still no firm plan for a monument to Diana.
