Brooke Shields’s alleged stalker was ordered to stand trial on Thursday. Mark Bailey, 41, was charged with causing the “Suddenly Susan” star “extreme fear and shock” when he sent her nude and lewd photos of himself and stalked her with a loaded .25-caliber pistol. Bailey’s attorney, Lisa Polansky, argued that there was no evidence that her client, who maintains his innocence, intended to harm Shields. Los Angeles Municipal Judge Glenette Blackwell, however, told the courtroom that Bailey “has terrorized (Shields) since she was a teen or before. He’s harassed her to hell and back — that’s the bottom line.” Prosecutors say Bailey has been arrested twice before, including the time in September of 1985 when he was convicted on charges of burglarizing Brooke’s New Jersey home. Following that incident, Shields, now 34, obtained a permanent restraining order against him.
