The Bacon Brothers, a seven-year-old, six-man band headed by brothers Kevin and Michael Bacon, will release its third album, “Can’t Complain,” on June 26 and kick off a coast-to-coast concert tour in Albany, N.Y., three days later, the rock group has announced. “When we first started, the people who attended our shows came strictly to see Kevin Bacon, the movie star,” Michael, an Emmy-winning composer, is quoted as saying in a statement. “Now people come to see and hear the Bacon Brothers.” The brothers first performed together at a 1994 charity function in their hometown of Philadelphia before they decided to take their act on the road. In 1997, the duo released their first album, “Forosoco,” a mixture of folk, rock and country. Their second effort, “Getting There,” came out in 1999. The Bacon Brothers are backed by Paul Guzzone on bass/vocals, Marshal Rosenberg on percussion, Frank Vilardi on drums, and Ira Siegel on electric guitar. Kevin, 42, is perhaps best known for his acting work in “Footloose” and, more recently, “Hollow Man.”
