Boston Legal actress Julie Bowen and her husband, Scott Phillips, welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.
Oliver Mclanahan Phillips was born at 10:15 p.m. He weighed in at 6 lbs., 15 oz, and measured 19-inches long. He is the first child for the actress and her husband
“He’s here and Julie is doing great!,” the star’s manager tells PEOPLE.
Bowen didn’t let her pregnancy slow down her work schedule. In fact, the actress’s water broke on Tuesday while filming one of the final episodes for this season’s Boston Legal.
Bowen, 38, and her husband chose not to find out the sex of the baby before he was born. “We could know, but I don’t want to know,” Bowen told PEOPLE during her pregnancy. “No names, nothing.”
The actress first broke the news that she was expecting a baby to PEOPLE in November.
Over the winter, she opened up about her pregnancy telling PEOPLE that finding maternity clothes was “definitely not my favorite thing in the world, because you’re stretching around a whole new body. What’s up with that? It’s like I’m 14 and have to figure out how to dress.”
She added that throughout her pregnancy she was definitely eating enough for two. “I’m like a bear. I wake up in the middle of the night, eat food and go back to sleep again. It’s not fun, but it’s a wild ride. I’m looking forward to it being over.”
Bowen and Phillips, a real-estate investor, have been married since September 2004. He proposed the previous Thanksgiving, when she was starring as schoolteacher Carol Vessey on TV’s Ed.
Bowen, who has appeared on ABC’s Lost as Matthew Fox’s ex-wife, plays attorney Denise Bauer on the network’s Boston Legal. She has also had roles on Party of Five and ER.
