Billie Joe Armstrong is headed to rehab.

The Green Day frontman, 40, will receive treatment for substance abuse, the band’s rep told the AP on Sunday.

The announcement comes on the heels of a public meltdown at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Friday night.

Upon being told at the MGM Grand Theater that the band had just a minute to wrap up, Armstrong went into a tirade, which quickly went viral.

“You’re gonna give me one minute?!” he yelled. “I’ve been around since f–ing nineteen eighty f–king eight, and you’re gonna give me one minute?! You’ve gotta be f–ing kidding me!”

“I’m not f–ing Justin Bieber, you motherf–ers!” he continued. “Let me show you what one f–ing minute f–ing means,” he said as he smashed his guitar on stage.

Armstrong was hospitalized in early September due to an undisclosed illness (rumored to be food poisoning), forcing the band to cancel a concert in Italy.

Green Day, whose latest album Uno will be released Sept. 25, will cancel some of their promotional appearances while Armstrong receives treatment.
