Robin Thicke had some famous friends by his side as he celebrated his 35th birthday party at Catch in New York City. The R&B star and wife Paula Patton were joined by Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the soiree.

It was a super-private bash, with only about 20 guests attending. Thicke and his friends were blocked off by security guards, as he didn’t rent out the whole venue, and they all enjoyed Armand de Brignac. He did, however, treat fellow diners at the hip restaurant to some tunes, playing deejay for the whole dining room from his iPod.

One VIP-only experience, courtesy new mom Beyoncé? The singer showed off pictures of daughter Blue Ivy during the three-hour dinner party.
