Held at Dylan’s Candy Bar on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Hoppy arrived to the soiree with his parents, Carol and Bob Hoppy, and according to an onlooker, “Bryn was very happy to see them.”
While Hoppy and Frankel were both in attendance, “they did not interact,” adds the source.
At the party, which was four days before Bryn’s actual birthday, guests enjoyed cookies and cake.
Satisfying your sweet tooth is something of a family tradition for the Frankel-Hoppy family. When Bryn was born, Bethenny Tweeted that they celebrated with pink M&Ms from the famous shop.
“Heaven! Jason just went out to buy lbs of pink m&ms & will only eat pink foods,” she wrote on May 13, 2010.
But things are far from sweet for the Skinnygirl mogul, who’s preparing for a new talk show while going through a difficult split.
She recently told PEOPLE, “Whatever I’m going through now, I’m certain I’ll learn something from it. When the clouds pass, I will figure out what the silver lining was.”
