Pop singer Austin Mahone has become the latest star to be immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds Orlando.
The 19-year-old singer unveiled his figure at Madame Tussauds in New York City on Tuesday. The figure will now travel to Florida where it will be on display at the Orlando attraction’s music room.
For his part, Mahone is delighted.
“It looks just like me,” Mahone tells PEOPLE. “They really got every detail right.”
“They took measurements for four hours,” he explains. “Everything. How long my arms are. The distance between my thighs. Every angle of my face. They put these stickers all over my body.”
With the measurements complete, Mahone had to decide which clothes to donate. “I wore this outfit on the cover of a magazine,” he says. “And I thought it looked cool, so I gave them to my figure to wear.”
And there’s one more special detail: a silver bracelet on his wrist. “My grandmother gave me a special bracelet and it means a lot to me,” he says. “So they made a replica of it for the figure.”
Now that it’s done, Mahone says he can see himself differently. “This isn’t like looking in a mirror,” he says. “This is 3-D. Now I can see myself like everyone else sees me.”
