The 18-year-old Pakistani chai wala (“tea seller”) landed a modeling contract after Islamabad-based photographer Jiah Ali posted a pic of him at the city’s Sunday Bazaar. Instagram, of course, immediately fell in love with his striking blue eyes, and Khan swiftly took advantage of the opportunity, modeling for Pakistani shopping site fittin.pk with a banner ad that read, "Chai wala is no more chai wala, now he is fashion wala."

Imagine being a humble, homeless L.A. skateboarder ... and then being so hot that you're discovered by Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. That's Economou's story. Jenner recounted what went down on her website: "We saw this kid just sitting on a sand dune. I was like, 'He's kinda cute,' so Gigi and I kept looking over at him. Seagulls started attacking us or something, so he came over and asked if we were all good. We asked him his name (John) and what he was doing. He told us he was homeless — so we were obviously like, 'OK, please sit with us!' After talking, we found out that he's 20; he ran away from home and came to L.A. to model. After we got back from lunch, we gave him my agent's info and Ansel was so sweet and suggested we bring him more food. When Ansel went over, John was so happy! Later on, John and my agent got in contact and now he's a 'Romeo' with a contract — amazing."

In 2014, Noszka was working for his father's construction company and playing college basketball. Then, thanks to one photo he posted on Instagram, everything changed. "We took a photo and I was just standing there," Noszka told ABC News. "I had cut-off blue jeans on and some beat-up boots, nothing glamorous. But I was lifting a lot at the time." Wilhelmina agent Luke Simone ended up seeing the photo and was very impressed. "He looked like this all-American guy that was blond and he looked like he was 6'2" in the photo and I’m like, 'He's a tall blonde guy and I'm like OK.' " Noszka signed to Wilhelmina and now models for several fashion labels.
