Mackenzie Douthit McKee is looking ab-tastic!

The Teen Mom 3 star was Instagramming up a storm before her second bodybuilding competition. “Being a beginner at this, I’m by no means where I want to be, But I do however know I’m not going to stop until I reach my dreams,” McKee wrote in one post.

The Oklahoma native, 21, placed second out of two competitors in the Fitness Routines and Fitness Two-Piece divisions, and fourth out of six in the larger Novice Bikini event at the National Physique Committee Oklahoma Grand Prix Saturday.

“This competition snuck up on me.. Not to mention I could not find a suit that covered my c-section scar,” McKee wrote on Wednesday before competition day.

This is after 6 meals, 2 gallons of water and 3 hours of cardio (not in one setting) and I only do that much cardio the week before… Starving yourself is never the answer, but unfortunately eating a box of donuts isn't either 😢.. Learn to find that happy healthy balance in life. I have until Saturday to get myself together. O my this competition snuck up on me😩.. People who WANT something in life, MAKE it happen. I've been so frustrated with all the set backs I have had with my random days of bad blood sugars, But that dumb disease will be the LAST thing that stops me. 👊🏼I'm so thankful and truly blessed for the competitors who privately reached out to me and helped me in any way they can and shortly became my good friends. Miles and miles apart, we support one another and that's so important to have. So I'm very thankful for that, and also for my kids and hubby for making life so enjoyable. I use to wonder if the "rodeo" life and the "fitness" life would collide as we are both chasing such big dreams… But the only problem I'm running into is having to pee every hour while on the rhode to rodeos and Josh and Gannon laughing as I'm squatting on a dirt road 🙈… And O MY !! does that cowboy look good on a Bronc 😘😜 With lots of love and support we make it work. Husband Josh and their two kids, Gannon, 4, and Jaxie, 1, drove McKee up for the Grand Prix, and she thanked him with a photo post.

“This man has done everything he could to make this day happen for me. Having a good support system is the only way you can get through something quite like this sport,” she wrote in the caption.

McKee, who is diabetic, said she’s learned from her last competition and finally has her nutrition down.

“My first show I was eating 750 calories a day, I felt like crap, I was taking 10 units of insulin per meal, I had no clue what diet to do for my body, I could not pose worth crap, I had no energy, and my hormones were jacked from bad nutrition,” she explained in a post of her veggie-filled dinner.

“This comp, I eat 1,800 to 2,000 calories a day and guess what?? I WEIGH LESS than I did my last comp. I have controlled hormones, I can tell by the way I feel. My body loves this diet, and I’m now on 2 1/2 units of insulin per meal with EXCELLENT blood sugar readings.”

And McKee says her healthy eating gets all the credit for her rock-solid abs.

“Fact: Rarely do I train abs. These were made in the kitchen, with lots of patience and proper dieting. Trust the process,” she wrote in one Instagram.

And she’s not stopping anytime soon. On Monday, McKee tweeted:

“Took one day off and I’m already ready to start training again. Addicted or nah ???”

If only all addictions resulted in amazing abs!
