Miley Cyrus Sports New Forearm Tattoo

Updated

Ramey

Miley Cyrus has found the perfect accessory for her freshly toned body: a new tattoo.

While heading out of a West Hollywood Pilates class on Tuesday, Cyrus, 19, was snapped with some ink that quotes a 1910 speech called “Citizenship in a Republic” (also known as the “Man in the Arena”) by President Theodore Roosevelt, which he first gave in Paris.

Scrolling up and down the recently engaged star‘s left forearm, it reads: “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.”

That particular speech of Roosevelt’s inspired both Richard Nixon and Nelson Mandela to quote from it during pivotal moments in their own careers. Nixon referenced it during his resignation speech, while Mandela used it to inspire the South African rugby team to beat New Zealand at the historical 1995 World Cup.

Miley has yet to Tweet about the presumably new tattoo, and her rep was unavailable for comment.
