Hilary Duff has learned to love her body — even the parts of it she was once self-conscious about.
“I didn’t always love my legs, but as I’ve grown, I’ve learned to love and celebrate myself, just as I am,” the actress, 29, shared on Instagram on Thursday as part of her partnership with the #AerieReal U-Day campaign. “I began to realize that my legs are strong, and they carry me every single day.”
Duff has opened up about being “obsessed” with her weight in the past, and told PEOPLE in 2015 that she was “too thin” and “unhealthy” when she was a teenager. But now she has learned to embrace her body just the way it is.
I didn't always love my legs, but as I've grown, I've learned to love and celebrate myself, just as I am. I began to realize that my legs are STRONG and they carry me every. single. day. Our bodies are amazing and something to be grateful for. I'm ME and that's really enough! Thanks for helping to spread the self love message @Aerie!
