Kelsey Grammer is a dad of all smiles.

On Thursday, the Frasier alum hit the amfAR Inspiration Gala’s red carpet in Hollywood with his pregnant wife Kayte, who is expecting the couple’s third child together — a little boy, according to E! News — and Grammer’s seventh total.

Grammer, 61, looked dapper in an all-black suit and polka-dot tie. Kayte, 35, matched her husband in a black-and-white, floral-patterned dress that highlighted her blossoming baby belly, accessorizing with a pair of black high heels.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, are parents to 2-year-old son Kelsey Gabriel Elias and daughter Faith Evangeline Elisa, 4. The actor has four children from previous relationships: daughters Spencer, 33, Greer, 24, and Mason Olivia, 15, as well as son Jude Gordon, 12.

The duo’s excitement is no surprise, considering Grammer has spoken candidly in the past about wanting a big family.

“I can’t imagine not trying for more because it’s been incredible,” the actor told PEOPLE in 2014 shortly following his son Gabriel’s birth. “As soon as [he] came out, Kayte and I were going, ‘Yeah, let’s do another one.’ ”

“It’s just this overwhelming gratification of being close to life like this,” he added of fatherhood at the time. “It gives you such hope and joy. I’ve never felt more alive or more serenely happy than in the throes of life with these young people. I really enjoy it.”

Being able to add to their family and welcome more children is a blessing for the couple.

“I don’t take it for granted,” Kayte told PEOPLE in 2012. “It’s such a miracle and a gift to bring a baby into the world.”
