Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan’s cheering session is about to expand by two!
The football star announced on Instagram that he and wife Sarah are expecting twins with a photo of the couple smiling as they hold red onesies under a gold “2” balloon — which also happens to be Matt’s jersey number.
“Happy to announce we’re having twins!” the 32-year-old captioned the image.
Sarah also shared the snap, writing, “It’s been a long road, but Matt and I couldn’t be happier to announce that we are expecting twins! We are anxiously awaiting their arrival in April. There’s just something about the number 2 in our house, I guess.”
The couple, who both attended Boston College, married in 2011.

However, the reigning NFL MVP couldn’t escape jokes about the Falcons blowing the largest Super Bowl lead in history earlier this year — one clever fan edited the image so the balloons read “28-3,” the Falcon’s leading score until the third quarter, when the New England Patriots came back to win the big game.
Earlier this year, Sarah wished her husband a happy birthday with a sweet message.
“Like a fine wine, you just get better with age,” she captioned a photo of the duo at a wine bar. “…And if you keep wearing camo, people won’t even be able to see that you’re getting older!”
