Off the court, New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose is dad to 3-year-old son Derrick Rose, Jr. (A.K.A. PJ). And his son is already well on his way to his own career — as a model!
The only child of Rose and Mieka Reese, PJ works with Bullies Brand, whom he has collaborated with in honor of National Bullying Prevention Month during the month of October to help prevent bullying in schools and put an end to it once and for all.
“PJ’s style is super sporty, even when he has to wear a suit he tries to add a little flavor and put on sneakers,” Reese, a fashion designer, tells PEOPLE exclusively of her son, who recently posed for a “shoot and draw” session for famed photographer James Anthony. “He loves to wear bright colors, and stays on or in front of current fashion trends.”

Reese owns an activewear line called Rich Girl Candy, and tells PEOPLE that her son works closely with her on fashion sketches and ideas.
“PJ has a love for modeling along with a huge and spunky personality,” his mom says. “When in front of the camera, he is poised and focused. It’s crazy because it isn’t his mom pushing PJ, it’s PJ pushing himself to model.”
She adds, “Being on set with PJ is a lot of fun, he loves to interact with people!”
PJ, who has his own Instagram account, may be tuned in to the fashion game at only 3 years old, but sportiness doesn’t just influence what he wears. A well-rounded boy, he enjoys being outdoors and participating in a multitude of athletic activities, plus playing brain-teasing games on his tablet.
“PJ’s hobbies are playing basketball, soccer [and] puzzle games on his iPad, and going to the park,” Reese says.
“We want to help our celebrities set an example for all their fans by incorporating a charitable component to each business we build together,” reads the Bullies Brand website. “Whether we donate a portion of our sales, our time, or our resources, we always contribute to a cause that resonates deeply with each of the celebrities we work with.”
Bullies Brand clothing items in conjunction with PJ Rose retail for $13 to $35, and can be found online at bulliesbrand.com.
