Bristol Palin, who announced last Thursday that she’s pregnant with her second child, took to Instagram on Tuesday to quote a Bible verse and post a photo of herself wielding a shotgun.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. Proverbs 31:25,” she captioned a photo of herself in the woods, with shotgun shells at her feet. Palin, wearing cutoff denim shorts and a sweatshirt, appears poised to fire the rifle in the snapshot.

Also on Tuesday, Palin, 24, wrote a new blog post, titled “When Killing Babies Is More Important than Women’s Health,” on the religious website Patheos.

“In another outrageous move this week, the Supreme Court temporarily blocked a common-sense abortion regulation in Texas,” she writes, citing a report from the Associated Press. “After the elected representatives voted to enact laws to protect the health of women and unborn children, 5 unelected judges are once again putting their policy preferences above those of the American people.”

“While celebrities like Lena Denham are celebrating the Supreme Court’s decision in the name of choice, what is happening here is placing the murder of babies on a pedestal,” she continues, referencing the court’s ruling legalizing same-sex marriage in all 50 states.

“How can these pro-abortion advocates claim to be pro-women when they won’t even support laws that are designed to ensure women get safe and quality health care?” she asks. “And they call me hypocritical!?!”

Palin announced her second out-of-wedlock pregnancy last Thursday in another blog post on the site, writing, “I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one. I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family.”

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant, who has yet to reveal the identity of the child’s father, was set to marry ex-fiancé Dakota Meyer, a former U.S. Marine, on May 23 in Kentucky, but her mother, Sarah Palin, announced just days before the wedding that the couple had called off their two-month-long engagement.
