Many have spent countless hours in the bathroom trying to emulate Blake Lively‘s enviable mane of ringlets to no avail, but the starlet’s daughter James – well, she was just born with it.

The adorable toddler, who celebrated her second birthday on Friday, made her first-ever public appearance at dad Ryan ReynoldsHollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Thursday.

Little James is the spitting image of her blue-eyed mother – especially compared to the throwback photos the actress regularly posts to social media.

Joking of his eldest, Reynolds told Extra, “When she’s 20, she can happily do whatever she wants. Thirty — I’m gonna up that to 30.”

The birthday girl is clearly the apple of her parents’ eyes: Reynolds previously told PEOPLE that “having a daughter was a dream come true for me.”

Even though the tot has melted Reynolds’ heart, his signature sense of humor comes out while talking about James. He joked on Twitter in August, “This morning, my daughter said, ‘quiche’ which means she’s smart, hungry and an a——.”

He also once wrote, “Being a father is the single greatest feeling on earth. Not including those wonderful years I spent without a child, of course.”

Last year for James’ big day, Reynolds quipped, “Happy birthday to my baby girl! Sad I lost my virginity. But thankful I have a daughter.”
