Billy Bush may have been ousted from the Today show, but he’s still on good terms with some of his former colleagues.

Hoda Kotb took to Instagram on Thursday to share two photos of Bush, 45, cuddling with her 3-month-old daughter Haley Joy.

“Haley met Billy,” she captioned the slideshow. “Sweet day xo.”

The sweet photos come more than seven months after Bush was let go from his position at the NBC morning show in October. His firing occurred in light of the leak of a 2005 tape which exposed then-Access Hollywood host Bush laughing along as now-President Donald Trump made lewd and graphic comments about Nancy O’Dell and Arianne Zucker while filming a segment for the entertainment program.

Earlier this week, Bush broke his silence on the incident, telling The Hollywood Reporter that watching the video left him “totally and completely gutted.”

Bush also gave his first televised interview since the tape was leaked, telling ABC News’ Robin Roberts that the 2005 conversation brought his 16-year-old daughter Mary to tears.

“She was really upset, and I said, ‘Mary, it’s going to be okay — you know, don’t worry,’ ” he recalled. “And she said, ‘No. Why were you laughing at the things that he was saying on that bus? Why were you playing along with it, Dad? It wasn’t funny.’ ”

“I said, ‘Mary, I am sorry. And there is no good answer for that,’ ” he continued.

After the tape was leaked, one insider told PEOPLE that the prevailing attitude at Today was that they wanted Bush fired. Another PEOPLE source, however, said the “locker room talk” comments Bush made in the video were out of the character for the co-host and that Bush has always been “respectful to women and kind to his colleagues.”

Despite his ousting, Bush also garnered some big-name supporters amid the controversy, including his former Access Hollywood co-host Kit Hoover, who got emotional on air defending her friend a few days after the leak.

“Those tapes were a decade ago and it was seven minutes of someone’s life,” she said at the time. “All I can tell you is what I know and the person that I sat next to for the last six years, and that person for me is a totally different person. The Billy that I know and a lot of people would say has the biggest heart of anybody and he is a good person.”
