“She’s definitely different than Bronx,” Simpson told PEOPLE Tuesday night at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s Holiday Party in L.A. about her kids. “Bronx was an easy sleeper. She’s like, ‘Nuh uh, Mama. I want to stay up and stay up next to you!’ ”
While Ross added that Jagger is “so sweet,” Simpson talked about the “little bit of toughness” their daughter has.
“I think it’s good for a girl,” she said about Jagger’s spunky personality. “I’m excited.”
When Jagger sasses her big brother, “Bronx laughs, too,” she said. “It’s really cute! He’s at that age now where we can all laugh about it. He’s such a good big brother.”
The duo are gearing up to spend the holidays on the East coast and finalizing presents for their kids.
“Bronx, like every 8 year old, is into Minecraft. He’s more into cool electronics. At 8, it’s moving into this different thing. He wants things that are challenging,” said Simpson, who sipped on cocktails made by Coffee Bean’s new Lieto Machine at the bash. “Jagger is into her little kitchen.”
The couple will also have plenty more to celebrate after the holidays — their duets album is finally set for release in the new year.
“We both switched off with writing, and what was so nice was finding out that we sounded good together and enjoyed each other’s company in the studio,” said Simpson about their music.
They’ve also had one special little visitor in the studio: “Bronx loves doing music. He’s always like, ‘I’m gonna do it!’ It’s so cute,” she said.
