Do you have your water-cooler talking points on the Golden Globes prepped? If not, you might want to check out Twitter (under #GoldenGlobes) and peruse the 2.1 million Tweets people sent during the show Sunday night.

That is, scientifically speaking, a whole lotta Tweets.

Breaking Bad was the source of the most talked-about moments on Twitter last night: The show’s win for best TV drama generated 28,117 Tweets per minute (TPM), and Bryan Cranston’s best actor win drove 24,099 TPM.

Jared Leto was a close second: His win for best supporting actor in a motion picture created 23,594 TPM, and he was one of the most Tweeted-about stars of the evening (he’s @JaredLeto, in case you’d like to congratulate him yourself).

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Poehler were runners-up in the Most Tweeted About contest.

We’ll have to see if these trends continue through Monday, but at least one devoted Twitter user was a little behind: Questlove was looking for a link to the Globes at 2:05 a.m.
